EUREPGAP Protocol is a methodology for developing a system for organizing a farm on environmental sensitivity and application of modern farming practices in the field.
Based in setting standards based on application of codes of good agricultural practice in HACCP principles and compliance with national and international law. To this International Standard Management can be applied to each farm, mainly fruits and vegetables and is the passport to overseas markets.
Emphasizes four key areas which are:
- Correctly Agricultural Practice
- Safety and Health Workers
- Security output
- Traceability
METHODOLOGY FOR DEVELOPING THE SYSTEM:
- Survey the current situation and study conditions on specified check list - Setting objectives
- Data Collection Product
- Author Study - Published growing instructions, registration processes, risk analysis, forms, work instructions and training for producers
- Establish procedures for corrective action
- Establish procedures for documentation and verification of system
- Certification system in the EUREPGAP standard by an independent certification body (power license for 3 years, an assessment by the organization and renewed every year)
- Corrective action after certification
