  • To ensure smooth and on schedule supply of goods
  • To improve the efficiency and timely completion of processes, such as transportation, customs control, inventory control, etc.
  • To analyze risks and threats on security issues in the supply chain

REASON TO ADOPT ISO 28000 SYSTEM

  1. Pressures from the external environment, eg:
    • Risks such as terrorism, smuggling, theft and bribery can occur anywhere in the international supply chain, causing significant, material or other, losses to businesses.
  2. Internal needs, eg :
    • Many companies rely heavily on the supply chain, and are particularly vulnerable if the supply chain is interrupted. For these companies security of the supply chain is directly linked to their sustainability.
