Investments of farmers in solar systems


With emphasis on small renewable energy plants, thus paving the way for investments in solar power to 100 KW and professional farmers in fields of high productivity, passed the night Tuesday, May 25 by the full House and the whole bill YPEKA for the development of renewable energy and climate change. According to the principles of the bill is the requirement that land be used for this purpose should not exceed 1% of total cropland in each county, giving producers the opportunity to gain an additional income. CH.O.O.A.P.) of n.2508/1997 (A 124) and Urban Control Zones (Z.O.E.) of Article 29 of n.1337/1983 (A 33) unless otherwise provided in these approved projects. Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph allows the production of electricity from photovoltaic plants on plots designated as agricultural land of high productivity. In this case the license is granted only if the photovoltaic stations which have already been generating licenses or in case of compulsory, binding bids by the competent Association Manager, covering land not exceeding 1% of total cultivated land of this law. For the purposes of this provision of the preceding paragraph, data in the annual agricultural survey of 2008 of the General Secretariat of National Statistical Service of Greece.
